Our project took shape when we met the man behind HBH Global Energy Datuk Dr. Hazzaini Hashim who is a contemporary entrepreneur investing in Malaysia and in his home state Perlis. At a time when most people in Malaysia were just beginning to understand how to develop, build and operate a Solar Power Plant, he decided to invest at a very early stage of the project.

Datuk Dr Haizzaini inherited valuable core business principles from his father. They saw the emerging solar market as an investment with good returns.

The decision to work with Coara Solar was made at Pullman Hotel in March 2012.

A partnership began between HBH and Coara Solar that turned into an enduring brotherhood relationship. Datuk Dr. Hazzaini Hashim was one of the first few people who invested as an "Early Stage Equity Investor".

He was visionary in taking the step forward in renewable energy.

Today, his Solar Power Plant produces between 2.4 to 2.5 million kilowatthours per year. Its performance ratio is >80% and ranks amongst the highest in the country.
